Meg is a filmmaker who lives and works in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia). Often foregrounding queer stories and feminist issues, Meg establishes rich landscapes and projects her characters’ experiences across the skin of the audience. Meg has directed short films, music videos and experimental installation works. Her directorial debut ‘Lavender’ (2018) screened around the world in festivals such as the Berlin Female Filmmakers Festival, where she was awarded the Unique Voice Award. Her second short ‘Haze’ (2022) premiered at Queer Screen’s Mardi Gras Film Festival and was nominated for the Ignmar Bergman award at the Uppsala International Film Festival. Meg completed her Honours in Film and Television at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2020.
Meg acknowledges and pays deep respect to the Wurundgeri people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Owners of the land on which she works. Wurrundgeri people have been telling stories on this land with moving images for more than 65,000 years. Always Was, Always Will Be.
